Hi , my husband and i have decided to try Sunset Beach this fall. How does one go about renting a home there? Real Estate guides? Where do you find these and how accurate are they? Does anyone rent a house there that they love and would recommend? We are very quite and love to sit on beach and read. My husband loves to nap so do not want to be near noisy family situation. Would perfer most isolated house on the beach. How do you find that having never been there? We count on our citydata friends who have always steered us right. Thank to anyone with advice and thoughts or recommedations. V&J

There are two main rental companies there: Sunset Properties and Sunset Vacations. Both have websites with their listings. I have rented from both and they are both very reputable.

You are a little late in the game though, slim pickings for this season.

You might try the VRBO (vacation rentals by owner) web site. There are several homes advertized on Sunset Beach.

You want to rent in the fall? That should be no problem (summer calendar is pretty full by now).

GL and have fun! We just love Sunset Beach
