Unhappy Rental Notice Issue(Needs Help!!!)

Guys, I'm not quite familiar with the law, so I really need someone to help me with this!!!

I had a regular annual lease for 2 years, and it should expires in December, 2011. Yesterday a guy from my manager's office came by, and he told me that I have to move to another room of another building by this Sunday. Does he actually allows to do that without any notice before like 30 days? I haven't checked my lease agreement, but under the state law how does this issue works out?

Somebody helps!!!
Thank you so much!!!

A lawyer, Will Brownlee, who is a good guy, would know the answer to that question: Brownlee Law Firm, PLLC - We are here to serve you

He really knows landlord/tenant law.

Might be worth a call.

First thing to do is check your lease. But move in the next few days? Unless there's something wrong with your current apartment or building, I can't imagine that it would be legal to give such short notice.

I checked my lease and it says a prior notice must be delivered 7 days before relocation. I lived in a 4 bedroom apartment, and there's still another guy here. I guess the manager wants to put other 4 people here, and relocates us to another apartment. Ahhhhh it just pisses me off!!!

Well, if that's what the lease says, . . .

I don't think I would sign a lease like that. One week to pack and arrange for help moving?
