I coach a team (soccer) of 15-16 year old boys. In their non-soccer clothes, about 2/3 wear baggy pants and long Tshirts. Most of them are honor roll, smart, personable, team first (not me me me), nice kids, great parents, who I hope if I have a son would turn out as good as these kids! My gosh, they wear baggy pants - the horror! Go into a mall in any major American city and 50% of the boys are dressed this way... you can't judge on this. Oh yeh, these kids of white collar professionals that I coach all listen to rap music too... the horror. We all know that is the first step to joining a gang! (sarcasm)

I have a lot more issue with parents who get their 9 year old daughters those short shorts that cling to their body with "cute messages" like "FOXY" or "BABE". So I guess we all have our issues.

I assume if Tornado grew up in the 60s and went to a big city he would of reported on the number of those in hippie garb and what % of girls had miniskirts on because the "unspoken" conclusion is girls in miniskirts must be sluts... seriously now.

I still would like a PUBLIC post of how you spot an illegal. There are people in this country LEGALLY who can't speak english so that cannot be how you can "tell".

Tornado (I did not give you a negative rep) - I see you as the guy one would want in your neighborhood watch group but not living next door - because everything that happened in or around my house would be reported to all my neighbors... "his lawn was 1.2" over regulation - joining 17.4% of our fellow neighborhood - this needs to be stopped" "he put his garbage out 1 day too early - when I drive through I noticed 13.4% of the neighborhood has this bad habit", etc. "His girlfriend was wearing 3" heels - anything over 2" is not something my children should be exposed to"

I can spot a gang banger by the way they look, act and dress and if they look like it and are not, then they are asking for trouble.

As fas as illegals are concerned how can you be a legal US citizen without speaking English? I know after you are 65 you can take the citizenship test in Spanish but other than that.

Read previous post by Tornado he has actually defended illegals and Hispanics on this forum. In his defense he was just reporting what he saw.

He only said one gang banger that's hard to believe at an amusement park. I think he missed something there.

If you were born on US soil, you are a US citizen. A person born to let's say, Spanish speaking parents (legal or not) 15 years ago, who speaks now nothing but Spanish, is a US citizen. Not that hard to figure out.

Children born in the United States (including not only the 50 states and the District of Columbia, but also, in most cases, US Territories, such as Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Panama Canal Zone before it was returned to Panama, in addition to many current states which were territories at the time of the birth of some individuals now living, e.g. Arizona), are U.S. citizens at birth (unless born to foreign diplomatic staff), regardless of the citizenship or nationality of the parents.

It's hard for me to figure out how one doesn't learn English in 15 years. Do they go to American schools?

My Grandparents came here from Italy and didn't speak a word of English, neither did my mother until she went to school. They did in fact all learn, by the time I was born they all spoke perfect English, not like these days.

I'm not talking about territories so leave those out, that's a ridiculous arguement.

This whole thing is ridiculous, why are we even talking about illegals? We know all states have them, some more than others and more to come.

I'm just concerned about uncontrolled crime no matter what color or what country they are from and what kind of clothes they choose to wear.

I agree, all discussion of illegals is ridiculous, and that's what started the debate on this thread to begin with. How someone can claim to be able to spot illegals as was stated in this thread, is where this debate started.

Good Lord! Where's a mod cut when you need one???

I just think tornado's post was silly because you certainly cannot judge an area based on an amusement park!

Six Flags in NJ is situated between 2 beatiful towns and depending on the night, can be about the most disgusting place to take your family. Amusement parks aren't filled with people who live 5,10,15 minutes away. That's why they are called tourist attractions!
