I will be in NC next week to meet my GF, she liven on campus at the campbell university. This is a surpirze visit and I will be staying there for 4days.
Can you please suggest places to go with her? I checked out some website that had boating info at Lake wheeler which seems like a good place.
Please help me visit some nice places, I like downtowns, good places with public around and some scenic loocations around the place.

Durham? Then you might want to see 9th street. Time for a game at the Athletic Field? Don't forget the Tobacco Road retail store, also Brighleaf.
Raleigh? Coming from Campbell up 401? Garner has some nice eats along 401. Park near downtown and walk the area, some great history. Also a drive on Hillborough Street...UNCS...
I would head for Wilmington if it were me...just sayin'.
