My husband got a ticket for the out of date inspection on our old car and a warning on the tag which was just a week past due. Need some suggestions on what to do.
The car has a broken light on the side of the back bumper which needs to be repaired in order to get the inspection. The car has almost 300K on it and we were about to turn it in to get a few hundred for it. The dealership will take it without the inspection & with outdated tag but I'm not sure how that will impact getting the ticket wiped out? Don't really want to put the money in for repair or inspection/tag for a car I'm going to turn around and sell...but also don't want to not get the 213 ticket wiped out. Any ideas??? For the record I did remind him to take care of this a few weeks ago

Moved to the general North Carolina forum, as this isn't a Triangle-specific question.

Back when I was into the used car business, prior to becoming a dealership I used to take my licenese plate and put it on the cars from the auction to my makeshift dealership. I got a ticket for a fake plate and sold the car before the court date. I was able to give the court the bill of sale and was on my merry way.
