In North Carolina do you need a lawyer to buy a home?
In North Carolina do you need a lawyer to buy a home or just a Realtor? I read I think that in Virginia and New York for starters you need one.

Thanks for that. I have no idea how that works. How does that work? Does that mean the buyer pays for the lawyer?
Where I live there is no lawyer, just Realtors. The seller pays for the Realtors fees. The buyers do not pay.

your realtor generally has a few attorneys they can recommend you too.
What area are you moving to?

Yes, yes, yes! Beach parties!! I can't wait any longer! I need my feet in the sand!
I'll do some research and find out what the lawyer costs and such and if the buyer pays for the realtor too?

seller pays for the realtor.
You can negotiate for the seller to pay for the attorney as well.
If you buy a big enough house, you can have the agent pay your attorney!
