I wanted to know how people feel about fayetteville, nc? My cousin is moving there and I want to be close to him. If it isn't a good area let me know. I would rather live in a town that is 15 or 20 mins. away then somewhere not so great. I have kids so that always comes first. my kids are mixed and I don't want to bring them somewhere that we're not welcome.also, how are the jobs out their? let me know please any info.

What is bringing him to Fayetteville? Fayetteville is VERY close to Ft Bragg so there is a lot of military families that live near by. Fayetteville has it's perks because everything is close together, yet they have a good variety. BUT-there is also a lot of "ghetto" areas and lower income living. The key is to chose your location in Fayetteville wisely. You may be interested in the Haymont area which is mostly older and more quiet friendly families. The jobs in Fayetteville and not good at all! The pay is extremely low because there is always people looking for jobs..and someone that will accept less pay. I suggest living slightly north of Fayetteville, like in Lillington, Bunnlevel, or Fuquay. Fuquay is about 45 minutes away but a GREAT town! I grew up there and still only live about 30 mins away. You're still close to Fayetteville but also only 30 mins south of the capital Raleigh. Good luck, and hope this helps!
