Greensboro, Greensboro, Greensboro!

Fisher Park neighborhood, close to downtown; Aycock neighborhood, also near downtown; College Hill district, near UNC-Greensboro & Greensboro College, right smack in the middle of downtown (well, a little south of the middle of downtown).

http://www.fisherparknc.org will give you a primer on all these neighborhoods, as I recall.

Real estate: One of the oldest firms in Greensboro. Owners are from Greensboro and know the area - www.yostandlittle.com - Search within the 27403 zip code, which is downtown and environs.

Best of luck and hope you find what you're looking for in The Gate City!

Default Historic homes

Hi Pat,

I know of a great historic home for sale. It's a plantation home built in the 1800's with over 10 acres of pasture land. I'll PM you.

Hi! I suggest realtor..com. Good luck! I purchased a 120 year old farmhouse w/ lots of history...I even found an article about my house at my local museum...of course I bought the book and it sits proudly on my coffee table!I ADORE old farmhouses and wanted a fixer upper and I found my dream house! Updating a historic house is the most exciting experience! Yes...the foundation, the roof, plumbing and electric had to be updated along w/ EVERYTHING else...but it's been well worth the effort! Annie
