I e-flied on Feb 27 using TurboTax and still waiting for my NC state refund??? I don't understand how this works, some only take two week, one month and mine has been a little over 6 weeks. I was told by NCDOR my refund has been approved and that was two weeks ago. Maybe I get it sometime after April 15. FYI the State of NC will pay late fees 45 days after April 15 or 45 days after you file which ever is grater.

Default Still no refund

We also e-filed on February 17th ... said accepted February 23. I have talked with them directly and they said there are no problems with my return just can't give me a date for refund. STILL WAITING ! So much for the 45 day rule ! Getting frustrated !

It took about a month to get mine back. I also had to file in Louisiana and I got that refund back in about a week.

My daughter filed (e-file) in early Feb and got her state in less than 2 weeks, and 2 weeks before her federal.

I filed (e-file) in mid Feb and got my federal in 2 weeks, my state in early April.

NC's where's my refund site is worthless. It kept saying "is being processed", even the day before the refund was electronically deposited into my account.

Well at least after reading this thread I know I'm not alone. I filed on March 15th so it looks like everyone who filed around that time is still waiting. Is there any penalty if they don't meet the 45 day turn around time? I know they don't start paying interest until June 1st.

It really seems to be taking at least 45 days from the date of filing. The later you submit your return, the longer it will be. I didn't submit until the end of February and it took at least 45 days to get the return.

The issue seems to be that NC is overwhelmed with paying all the refunds so they are staggering the payments.
