I've heard from one oil and gas guy up here that NC is the next big 'play'. I was incredulous but this is some minor confirmation.
Does anyone know where in NC are the most attractive areas for fracking? Thanks

Lee County is being considered. This article says it and surrounding areas have possible natural gas deposits.: FayObserver.com - Lee County commissioner Jim Womack expects gas drilling within five years

Note that it says that fracking is not yet legal in North Carolina.

The major known deposit stretches from Durham down to Pinehurst.
