Of NC's central cities that command their own MSAs, Goldsboro is the most dangerous city by a pretty significant amount. Rocky Mount is #2...

Rocky Mount is pretty wild but it isn't that bad. Let's not exaggerate its crime...

That is very unfortunate and I'm sure traumatic for anyone directly or indirectly involved but the same kinds of incidents have happened in upscale areas of places like Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh and other cities that don't bare the brunt of bad press. And I'm not sure how much credibility I would give to hysterical FB posts.

I hear shootings and somebody getting shot every time I tune into the Rocky Mount police scanner on my phone.

Yes, it's that bad. I can't even imagine Goldsboro being worse.

Rocky Mount now up to 5 homicides on the year.

It's safe to say Rocky Mount is the most dangerous right now.

6th murder so far this year. https://abc11.com/5142022/?fbclid=Iw...RiLuLksrQSxXl0

Almost a murder every week. Hey murkside, still wanna say Goldsboro is more dangerous? Goldsboro looks pretty safe in comparison

Yes, I do. You're going off of 1.5 months and I quoted data for 8 years. On balance, Goldsboro is the more dangerous city. Even 6 murders in 48 days is an anomaly for Rocky Mount, at this rate Rocky Mount is on pace for 48 murders, which is impossible. Never been done in RM, so it will revert to its mean at some point...

Stay stuck on the first 1.5 months, though!

Seems like you are stuck in the past.

So you admit Rocky Mount is the most dangerous city The past year.

And let's go with your 8 years, at least the first 4. Looking at FBI uniform statistics from 2010-2014, Rocky Mount has a much higher violent crime rate.

From 2005-2014 your argument gets even weaker.

And the Rocky Mount police has a documented history of covering up its violent crime data, as documented by the Rocky Mount telegram.
