Haven't been there in a few years. It's hard to believe it's fallen that hard. It used to be one of the nice towns in Eastern NC. I might go check it out next time I'm in that part of the state.

How long is a few years? Rocky Mount's been through hard times going on 20 years. Definitely not the most dangerous city in NC by a long shot though.

I'd be more scared of Fayetteville or Durham.

There's a pulp mill that smells like sulpher. Is that it?

Then you are living in a cave. Crime statistics say so. Its a fact.

Hell, just listen to the Rocky Mount police scanner at night. So many shootings every night for a 57,000 population city.

Why? Crime in those cities dont even come close to Rocky Mount.

I feel MUCH safer in fayetteville and especially in Durham than Rocky Mount. They dont even hold a candle.

Hell, Rocky Mount's mall is more dangerous than most places in those 2 cities combined.
