FoodLion is dirty and pretty exensive, no surprise there. bit more surprised about Tops, though, they'ye always been my favorite when /i lived in NY

Tops is a decent store...the reason it is rated so low is because Tops and Wegmans pretty much cover the same market. Wegmans is #1 on their list for the "Best". When shoppers are comparing Tops to Wegmans (in Western New York State...those are pretty much the only two options for grocery stores besides supertarget and superwalmart), Tops is going to appear as the "inferior" store.

If it weren't for Harris Teeter, Food Lion probably wouldn't appear on the "worst list" either. If Winn Dixie still had stores in NC, it would probably also make Food Lion absent from the list, but for the opposite reason
