I am certain not everyone goes to church here, however, we have noticed that a lot of social activity revolves around church, and if you so desire there seems to be something for everyone. Even if you are not a church-goer I don't think it would be a problem and I think the fact that you have an open mind is great!
Enjoy!

Thanks everyone! We're thinking of moving to the Concord area. Any suggestions for neighborhoods and churches?

Dennis, go back to mass, just be firm saying "no" to further involvment. (Hmmm... imagine if you had wanted to be more involved & they DIDN'T ask...)
The paper has a weekly "faith" section, & people are proud about being Christian. Lots of Protestants, but vibrant Catholic churches & synagogues, & mosques are here, too. I haven't heard about any discrimination against anybody.

NY,
Don't worry, I do go to Mass. It is really important to me. I become totally involved in the Mass. Even with my horrible voice I sing every song. Loudly AND BADLY (is that a word).
Maybe those people wanted me and my voice FAR AWAY and seeing I was a quiet type, figured they could SCARE ME AWAY.
ONLY KIDDING.
Don't get me wrong.............I don't think it is a terrible thing that others want me to be involved.
Guess I'm just a loner.

Actually very few people I know go to church...they'd much rather sleep in on Sunday mornings. To each his own. It's not a requirement to live in NC...
