Are you going to buy or rent? Most apartments and many subdivisions/HOAs have dangerous dog restrictions. Many apartments won't allow German Shepards let alone a wolf.

Look here for section 3-12 A and B

Regulations - Animal Services - Cumberland County NC

So unless you are a licensed wildlife rehabiltiator then it is illegal to keep wolf hybrids in Cumberland county.

Raeford is not Cumberland county, it is Hoke.

It sure does show a lot of ignorance on this thread about hybrids. tisk tisk Not all are bad. Most hybrids these days are less than 25% wolf/coyote. Any dog can run, chase, kill, maim, destroy. But a dog with training whether pure or not can be a great asset to the community and teach the world they are not vicious killers!

How much damage to the breed of the pit bull has been done by irresponsible owners? Same thing with the hybrids.

I'm not sure what the laws are there, but I know the rabies vaccine is not approved for wolves. So if your hybrid bites someone, you might be legally obligated to turn your beloved hybrid over to the state so they can chop open the poor thing's head and test its brain for rabies.

I think any animal can be raised with love and respect, wild or not. The baby squirrel in my bathroom is a testament to that. However, most people are simply not equipped to deal with wild or semi-wild animals. You need hours and hours of research and tons of hands-on time with them, and in some cases a license. You have to be willing to get dirty, and I mean, dirty. Slobber, dirt, poop and pee is the truth of the wild. Wolves play rough. You'll get bruises and scratches from wrestling. A wild animal is smart and tests its limits. If you're a working adult and have a small yard then you are a bad cantidate for a wolf hybrid. They can be the best dogs ever but you have to train them to be that way, and that means YOU have to be alpha.

The OP asked about Fayetteville.
