Default Ready For Winter?

After a string of 30+ consecutive days above 90 degrees, and several days actually above 100, with two days in a row tying the all time Charlotte record of 104 degrees, I am ready for winter. There was not so much as the usual afternoon cooling thunderstorm this summer, instead it was a record breaking drought to go along with the heat. After checking out the forecast, it appears that the first day of fall with be ushered in with a high of 90 degrees!

Just wondering, is anyone else sick and tired of the heat and ready for fall and winter? I am.

It's not like we even have real winters to complain about. I didn't see any snow during the past two. So, bring on the cold. I'll take putting on a sweater and jacket any day over sweating in the shade. You can keep putting layers on, but you can't keep taking them off!

I don't like the unusual heat we had last month, so I'm ready for the cooler weather. I do like our 4-season climate, though.

Fall (followed closely by Spring) has always been my favorite season. I can't wait for the cooler (60s, 70s) temperatures. I don't like winter and dread it every year. Though it's nice when we get unseasonably warm weather in the winter. Some Januarys (Januaries?) we get a couple 70-degree days. Love that.

Default looking for winter

Wow---the last 3 days spectacular low 70's and breezy.
Three and a half months of above 90 degrees even burned up our vegetable garden. We definitely need rain here in Eastern Carolina.
If anyone knows of a place where year round it is 70, I want to live there. Welcome fall. kelsie

Sunny,
My brother and his bud live in Calabash.
They have a 50 - 90 rule.
Temperature over 90
Temperature under 50.
NO GOLF

Me? It can be 90 degrees every day and I'd be in heaven.
Dennis

No offense but 90 degrees every day? YUCK Bring on late fall/Winter

Don't get me wrong I like a good 90 degree day in the middle of summer, but all year round...I dunno about that!

I have to admit that I am curious about winters here as this will be my first! I have so far been through spring..great..summer..a bit long and pretty hot but not horrible, so far fall has been great so now winter?? At least I've seen seasons here and that is what I have been missing for many, many years. Yep, I am looking forward to winter.
