OK, I voted as I would vote. However, I think Romney will win the state. I hear a lot of conservative grousing about Obama in my part of the state. Nobody likes Romney much, but they like Obama much less.

I have no clue how the state will go. That will depend on who turns out. The only things that Romney has committed to mean that the "W" policies come back on steroids. How'd that work out with "W"? George Romney was my governor, when I was a kid. I was very open to Willard. I've heard enough. I'll vote for the devil I know vs the devil I don't know.

Obama & Pat McCroy.

I'm hoping patty throws a bone to us down here. We need some more Charlotte up there in the Triangle. He was a great mayor. Anthony Foxx also is a great, great mayor. I love Mayor Foxx. I'm an independent. I've had enough of the tea party. Rather vote for the devil I know, as one poster put it. Imagine if the tea party ruled the country....

And they wonder why we sometimes resent the influx from the north. Here's a prime example. Sorry, off topic, I know.

Different maps (I have at least 3 respected political sites bookmarked and check them weekly) have us as either a Swing state or "leaning Romney". Recall that we were the "last" state to go for Obama in 2008, meaning by the tiniest margin. I certainly would have expected the political shift to continue toward the Left, but even respected, analytical political gurus such as Nate Silver at 538 (probably the most mathematically rigorous, unbiased site there is on National politics) have NC with a 70% chance of going for Romney.

But, some other sites have more loose definitions of "swing states", and NC is one of about 15 on their lists.

It's going to depend on turnout. In 2008 people who usually don't vote or never voted at all had come out to vote in favor of Obama. If the turnout meets or exceeds 2008 he will win again.

Sadly, I think it will boil down to who wants whom NOT to be president.

That is usually the case with every office right down the ticket

If North Carolina was a swing state, than Obama would practically win every state.

Romney will beat him in a landslide in NC. He will probably beat Obama 54-45 percent nationally.

Obama has zero chance at winning even If he was a good president. No sitting president could win under the current economy.

And since Obama is the worst president of the modern era, its going to be an utter massacre.

Taxicab31 I'll hope not, Obama is a wonderful President. I was telling my son about how much we are getting better. Back in 2008 when big box stores where going out of businesses and people where standing in long lines for a job. Also the housing market was worse and development stopped. Now people are building again, buying homes, getting jobs, and have health care. Which I think the health care bill is wonderful, now people can afford to buy their pills and see a doctor. Its not that bad, people who have no jobs and can't pay will get medicaid, then people who have jobs their company will pay. People don't understand that many Americans can't get health insurance that need it and now its fair to all. Also do you remember that the unemployment was 14% in 2008. Think about this too when bush was in from 2000 to 2004 the country was doing the best it could do, from 2004 to 2008 the country went down to the worst it could do. It took 8 years to see what bush could do. It took Obama 4 years to get the country on the right track. Things are slow but it will get better for the past month I'll seen many jobs coming in my area about 2,000. My area is Greensboro just to let you know.
