DDLove01- You're moving to NC too? Cool. I always see you on the Port St. Lucie threads (I live there too)! Have you decided on an area to build in? I have relatives in Union County (southern end of NC). I don't know alot about the rest of the area but it's gorgeous there. Just came back from vacation last week.

Yep, we are building our home in Newton, NC in November. Do you know where Hickory is? It's a town over from that, about 45-60 mins or so from Charlotte. I saw you on this forum earlier this evening and thought 'what a coincidence!'

Hey, if you move to NC, you should be safe from those pesky lizards you love so much in FL.

Do you live in Jensen or PSL?

LOL yes, no more lizards. But they do have frogs!

I live in PSL. I was actually planning a relocation within the next year but I'm a full time student and I don't want to transfer (its kind of a messy situation) so I'm just looking for an investment for now until I'm 'free'.

I was thinking of this as I was reading the thread. Growing up, we never considered people from Florida as "Southern", as most were from the Northeast, etc.

Yeah, the "Floridiot" thing stems from the stereotype of the driving done by many folks with Florida plates.

I think that as long as people are moving to NC to make a home, instead of with the intention of cashing in, ripping up more land, then moving on, there shouldn't be too much worry about getting along with each other.
