I like it being on one bill. I found the two separate bills was a pain to keep track of. Anywhere else I've been, everything that makes up the cost of registration, including any taxes, always came on one bill.

The cost of registration is also a lot cheaper than other states where I've had cars registered. It may not be a cheap as a few states in this country, but overall the cost of everything associated with registering a car (tags/taxes) each year is pretty low in my experience.

This seems like it will hurt low income people. As I see it they will have to pay all around the same time:

Inspection
Repairs if needed to pass inspection
Property tax
Registration.

The state should start a 12 month pay plan to even it out.

We got our bill today and my husband thinks he is being over-charged and maybe will end up paying taxes on our cars twice hopefully this year only.

I like the idea that those that have been skipping paying taxes will have to pay now.
