Default Wanting to move to NC,from Cali. Help on Jobs!

Hello-

My family and I are looking to move to NC from California, can anyone help with info on jobs? My husband is a Mechanical Design Engineer. Also, is it true that it is difficult to land a job if you do not have a local address? Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you!

Right off, I'd suggest either the Charlotte area or the Raleigh area. Both are great areas with LOTS of jobs. Just Google "Charlotte, NC" and/or "Raleigh, NC" and you should be able to get all of the info you need. Good luck in your search!!!!!

The quickest best route to getting a job in the Charlotte area is with a headhunter. Many companies pre-screen prospective employees by letting the head hunters do the leg work for them. You can send out resumes on monster.com all you want but in my experience no one is really reading them. It does also help to have a local telephone number, so consider investing in a cell phone with a NC area code. Good luck!
