Bank of America, Wells Fargo close to dumping NASCAR Hall of Fame loans - Charlotte Business Journal

It is referencing 2010. That was 5 years ago... when if i remember correctly nothing was doing very well nationwide. Much of it had to do with projections made in 2007. Not sure if you remember what happened the following year. The article I posted is from this year and shows record profitability. NASCAR HOF is a problem no doubt.. but this has nothing to do with Charlotte and has everything to do with NASCAR becoming more and more unpopular.

For the purposes of this conversation 3 years ago. The article has stats are 2012-13. Record profit you say?? If any business was being carried by the taxpayers. 12 million in subsides. Along with the banks writing off 26 million. That 38 million in 7 years of bailouts. That's 5.28 million a year. That doesn't sound like a profitable business to me. Or a successful one either. Sounds like the taxpayers got taken for a ride again.

It's kinda ironic that these 3 attractions that have been mentioned over and over on this thread. 2 are basicly failures if not for bailouts. The last is struggling quite a bit. There is serious talk about a whitewater center at Falls Lake. If this is what it looks like no thank you.

OK and It was referring to the suburb's not the city they were associated with. The burbs of Charlotte dominated this list.

Just added complete list. Oh 47 isn't very good. I see why you want to stick to the headline. Gotcha.

c'mon man don't get petty, both cities are pretty damn safe honestly, people need to stop living in fear, and travel a little bit.

@Tarheelhombre yeah you can adjust the amount of resistance, I hit up Cary parks and recreation about adding this to bond park, along with climbing boulders, I also wanted them to add some outdoor ellipticals along lake crabtree, a representative told me she liked my idea and would pass it along, but I'm not holding my breath. (even though upon research it isn't that expensive to implement, a point I made sure to make)
