haha, she does.

Crescent is also trying to get Nordstrom or Belks to anchor in the large retail spot beside WholeFoods. Either one or a similar retailer would be amazing for uptown retail.

I sort of hope for Nordstrom instead of Belks.

If it ain't in downtown Raleigh, I don't care. I hate malls. I do like shopping villages like Birkdale.

Greenville has an excellent retail scene. Especially for a city their size.

How about a Rolls then? You'll also have to go to Raleigh for that too.

Belks and IKEA vs. Saks Fifth Avenue and Rolls Royce. I guess the two cities just have a different affluence level and clientele demographic

I prefer public transportation. And if I did care about cars and I had all the money in the world, you are correct, I am a different demographic probably ... Give me a 'stang instead.

I'm pretty sure Charlotte has more premium clothing stores than Raleigh, but... clothing isn't my thing so I could careless about IKEA, Armani, etc.

Charlotte has Armani. Charlotte has Burberry. Charlotte has Hermes. Charlotte has Louis Vuitton. Charlotte has a lot more premium brands that Raleigh doesn't have. I'm not sure what all, don't really care. I just recall hearing people mention that.

But again, I'm not into high fashion.

And yes, IKEA sucks. I think.

I'd take a big affluent anchor like Saks over a bunchier smaller "me too's!", I think it's probably a better indication of the overall geographic, as is a Rolls dealership. But I won't be driving away in a Silver Cloud anytime soon myself
