No... you're completely wrong, food stamps. And here's why....

You were speaking of the economics of a single entity, In this case, AAL.... Any other airline operations is completely irrelevant to what you were talking about, which was American Airlines hub in Charlotte. Which is one of the largest hub operations in the world, and the 3rd largest airline hub in the USA.

New York City (LaGuardia, JFK, Newark) has far more passengers than Charlotte does.... But Charlotte is by far a larger hub for American Airlines than their hub in JFK & LaGuardia combined by a large margin.

Chicago is the busiest airport (I think they just overtook Atlanta, but that keeps flip flopping)... American has it's 4th largest airline hub in Chicago. Despite Chicago O'Hare (not even counting Chicago Midway), American's hub at charlotte is around 20% larger...

Passenger traffic of an airport is irrelevant when discussing an airlines hub.... It's completely different.

You mentioned American Airlines in Charlotte... and I responded to American Airlines in Charlotte. And of course, you somehow equate that to the passenger traffic of Memphis airport and that FedEx flies a lot of packages there...

Exactly, people travel to Charlotte to attend the pride event. It might be hard for you to fathom people visiting your city. Are you implying people from SC not be able to attend a pride event in Charlotte? I will usually attend Atlanta Pride, as do many of my friends, I guess we shouldn't be allowed there since we aren't from Georgia. Get the hell out of here with that mess. For a state pride, it's pretty weak, considering the states( actually the largest of NC and SC) largest is down here in Charlotte.

That and not only does Raleigh lag behind in protections for LGBT, but of the LGBT protections that Raleigh does have, came after several cities in NC... including Bessemer City Which, I know BC... that is the biggest Podunk Larry the Cable Guy town I could imagine....

In a unanimous vote, members of the City Council revised the City of Raleigh’s non-discrimination policy language to include non-discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression, in addition to sexual orientation.

Raleigh joins Asheville, Boone, Carrboro, Charlotte, Chapel Hill and Buncombe in protecting workers from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Durham, Mecklenburg and Orange Counties have similar protections for their workers.

Things are going pretty well in America's best city
Which Is America's Best City? - Businessweek

"Businessweek.com spent months working with data that would help us to identify the best cities in the U.S. We looked at a range of positive metrics around quality of life, counted up restaurants, evaluated school scores, and considered the number of colleges and pro sports teams. All these factors and more add up to a city that would seem to offer it all. When we began the process we had no idea which cities would come out on top. The winner? Raleigh, N.C.

Raleigh No. 1
To most residents of Raleigh, it may not come as a surprise that their city earned the title of America’s Best City. Raleigh shows the cultural graces that go along with anchoring the so-called Research Triangle, home to North Carolina State University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Among its many attributes the city sports 867 restaurants, 110 bars, and 51 museums, according to Onboard Informatics, as well as a thriving social scene, good schools, and 12,512 park acres, equal to several times the green space per capita in cities like New York and Los Angeles, according to the Trust for Public Land. It also offers a great deal on nights and weekends—from concerts and opera, to the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes and college sports, to the 30,000-square-foot State Farmers Market."

Real cities are measured in the aforementioned, not towers

Pride events are almost kinda really old school at this point doncha think? Reminiscent of bygone days when the community was repressed, maybe that's why Charlotte still gets a pretty good showing?
