I find it interesting that a lot of people don't understand that the amount deducted from your paycheck has nothing to do with your tax liability. They are so excited to get a big refund. I tell them to have more withheld and they can get a bigger refund next year!

For the first time I can remember, I received my state refund prior to receiving my federal refund. For the past few years state refunds had been significantly delayed.

Both my Federal and my State were filed and accepted on February 27th. I got my Federal refund within 5 days. Still waiting on my State.

I've used TaxSlayer.com for like the last five years, and I've always gotten my federal first and my state maybe a week later. It hink this is the first time the state has been REALLY late.

I'm wondering how bad it can get. Are we talking November till we get our return?

I got my Federal and State returns within 10 days this year. No complaints here!
