It is ironic how High Point huffs & puffs how the furniture market contributes to the state's economy yet it has to bum money from the state to shuttle people around.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this; IMO the HPMA is one of those entities whose sole purpose is to siphon money from government. The bus terminal built for the market was brought to you by Howard Coble and the fine art of pork-barreling.
If memory serves me correct the funding has been cut before as I remember HP attempting to tin-cup Gboro & W-S citing how the two cities benefit from the market, yet forgetting neither need it for survival.
