Default Calling all Green Thumbs- Bermuda/Fescue lawn care

Bermuda grass seems to be used quite a bit down here in most new construction. It seems to be that it greens up late summer and into the fall? For me, it's a little odd, as I'm used to grass blooming or turn green in the spring and lasting through fall. It seems Fescue is a little more like what I'm acustomed. I'm not a lawn expert (but hope to be one day soon), so what's the best way to ensure care of Bermuda grass? My neighbor did his fertiziling in July and now has a nice lush lawn. Since I moved in Sept. first I may have missed that opportunity, particularly as the temp. drops.

I would also contemplate seeding/sodding with Fescue if it seems to be better. Just don't have enough practical experience with either so any help is greatly appreciated (as always).

Thank You!

Mike
