My fiance has been station in Fort Bragg, NC. While I would love to go with him, I have found a major snag. Its seems as if in all the surrounding towns pit bulls are banned or at least very unwelcome. I have had her since she was born and has no aggressive behavior towards people (children included). So, I just need to know if there are any housing places that allow pit bulls. She is my family, my baby, I can't rehome her and I don't want to be away from my future husband since he will deploy soon after getting to base. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

There is a good reason pit bulls are banned and not welcome. I would be highly suspicious of any housing area that embraced them.

I'd suggest placing a "housing wanted" ad on Craiglist. Also look for a single family house with a fence rather than an apartment building.

I worked at Bragg for 6 months several years back. I found a dog, took it to the animal shelter there, and rescued him. The shelter people there said there are many strays due to deployment, divorce. Many are pits.

Placing an ad is a good idea. The other thing you need to know that in the Army, it's a post. Air Force, it's a base

I am not aware of any towns near Fayetteville that have banned specific breeds, including pit bulls. Who told you this?
