This is wonderful for the city. I also read the other day that they are in talks to develop Shaw Rd, that they are building a modern bus station on Franklin Street, and there is a proposal to make Marketfair an open-air shopping center....

Fayetteville is growing up. The new condos will add a newer, brighter dimension to downtown and be a great complement to 300 Hay. I have told many people on this site that while I still don't believe Fayetteville is yet a top-10 city in the state, to experience it today as compared to just a decade (or more) ago is a tale of two cities. Skibo is ever evolving with new dining options, and the Westside of the city was nowhere near as built up back then as it is now, residentially or in terms of retail...

What the city really needs, above all, to surpass other cities in the state, is to continue to make Downtown the focal point of attention. They really needs to be some kind of arts district. There is a pulse downtown now though, with dining and entertainment options, but to have more trendy bars and arts options are what we really need....

That will be a pretty good location. It is right in front of the Airborne and Special Operations Museum and walking distance to festival park and downtown.
