Then may I ask WHY you are even on this forum?? You don't live in NC, you obviously aren't planning to move here, and you only seem to have negative comments to make about it. Maybe there is some other forum you could frequent where you would have something useful to add?

Sorry. I didn't know there were restrictions.

Then you should take your opinions elsewhere. I think those people that have been on this board long enough, realize that your main ambition is to stir up trouble. If you have such a well (not good) paying job, then maybe you should concentrate on that instead.

It is possible to have a well/good paying job and post on this message board. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Cassie - informed is misinformed as usual. Im doing just fine in Texas. Many other states are experiencing growth. In my part of the texas coast I see cars with out of state plates driving down my st- Im on Ocean Drive and I know if I even smile at them they will get brave and ask "Anything for sale around here?"
In general upper income people are doing well all over - "rich becoming richer" As for the middle income - they bought all the garbage about Bush helping the middle class - lol those tax cuts helped me not them, but I still didnt vote for him.
Texas is probably doing better than NC as the high oil prices benefit us. NO state income tax isnt bad either!

I would still rather live in North Carolina than anywhere in Texas.

By the same token, then so should you. It never ceases to amaze me that some of North Carolina's greatest defenders don't even live in the state yet.
Check 123 at least has an offsetting viewpoint --- as opposed to one of blind loyalty --- and he rates a 6 on my scale for amusement value.

Cassie

Actually, " I'm Informed" was being facetious and so was I in my response to him. We both realize that there are a lot of other desirable states in which to live besides North Carolina. I'm happy that you're happy in Texas, and yup, there are some definite benefits to living there, as well as some wonderful places.
Been a while since I visited, but I liked Boerne, Georgetown and Tyler at the time I last visited. Don't know how they are now.

I hear ya. I'm an independent. I vote by candidate, NEVER by party. My husband who used to be a diehard Republican regrets that he voted for Bush.

Not bad at all. N.C. politicians can't seem to even manage to permanently cap the darn gas tax.

Cassie

Right on, Cassie.
Without amusement, this board would be one big stats class.
