Default Abba First Mortgage????

I am wondering if anyone has personal experience with Abba First Mortgage? They seem to have good rates. I posted on a Charlotte thread that mentioned them but did not get any responses that talked about this firm. If you have used them or know someone that did or even heard something negative about them, please let me know. I do know that they have active licenses in Tenn and NC. Thanks!

i would deal with large brand names.

1. Bank of America - one of the biggest retail lender
2. Carteret Mortgage - 2nd largest mortgage broker in the US
3. LendingTree - one of the largest online lenders.

Has anyone had a problem where the mortgage broker says they are crediting you a portion of the origination fees but then come to you after the closing wanting the funds. Also the HUD shows the origination fees, the discount amount and the final amount on line 803. How can this happen????

Not to be rude, but BofA has one of the lowest consumer satisfaction ratings in the industry and even the Feds have fined them for 'fraudulent ' business practices in their mortgage division.

And Lending Tree is NOT an online lender. They are not a lender at all. They are an online lead generation servce. They sell the leads to mortgage brokers and other lenders, who pay dearly for those leads and (understandably) try to pass that cost onto the client.

Carteret filed bankruptcy in 2008.

I've never heard of Abba, but I'll bet they are a fairly small broker. (not that there's anything necessarily wrong with that.)
