Some of us moved to North Carolina voluntarily, because we wanted to live here - because we saw enough of the state before moving to know we wanted to live here - and we try hard to blend in and look for the positive. I use the post name Mikey_NC with great pride. Our complaining associate here has a post name that does not suit him as he apparently doesn't like living here. A Tarheel, as I am told, is a native son/daughter. As an aside, the worst drivers I ever encountered (and I have had occasion to drive in at least 24 of these United States) have been in Chicago, Detroit, all of New Jersey and all of West Virginia. That is merely my opinion based upon my observations while driving in those places.

Failure to signal should be an immediate $300 fine. The fact that you are too lazy to flick your fingers for a second for the benefit of all the drivers in the area is ridiculous and you should be punished. Look how easy and smoothly traffic would go if everyone signaled!! It shows your intent. How many times have you been in a situation where if someone signaled, you could have gone out onto a road from a stop sign but since they didn't signal, you had to be more cautious and wait?? I always flip that driver off and scream at them. Sometimes they see this and have a quizzical look on their faces. Ignorant slobs.

One thing is, people here take their damn time in changing lanes often without signaling. If someone has their signal on, I always let them in because I know what they want to do and appreciate the fact they informed me. It's those that don't signal and lolly-gag to the next lane over that pisses me off. When I lived in NJ, I would say 90% of the people would signal whereas here, it's not even 50/50.

I don't trust signals anyway...it's a good way get into an accident. Folks signal one way and don't' do it...or they don't even have a clue they have it on. Counting on a signal is...well....one deserves to get into the accident if they actually believe the turn signals on another car.

Yes, flipping someone off is very classy to by the way...

I've been driving for 17 years and I have never had an issue when someone signals and they don't turn.

As for being classy, I could care less. I feel it very important that I inform them that they are being ignorant and lazy. If their phone rang while they were driving, you can count on them taking the time to answer it. If they do, they can take the millisecond and flick their turn signals.

It happened to me twice today....once when I went out to lunch and on the way home. I had to follow someone with their blinker on for miles...they finally turned...the other direction.

Your message of telling someone "that they are being ignorant and lazy" is pretty well lost in your even more so crass behavior. Do you really think that someone is going to start using their turn signals because you've been vulgar to them?

Your talk about the laws if you was going by the laws of the road you would not had to slam on brakes. A car will break down anywhere at anytime, things will not work like they subpost too. Yes you are subpost to take your car in every 1000 miles do you? Do you change the oil every 3 months? I hate tailgaters and I will turn without warning if I look out of mirrow and I see you picking you nose will guess what I am turning in the store. Oh and if my family is in the car I will slow down to 33 in a 35 or 43 in a 45 if that does not get you off my bumper. I will find a tucker an jump in front of them cause they love tailgaters they love to scare people. They are king of the roads. Sorry tuckers but if no one has said this you are life savers and if a car jumps in front of you that had a tailgater you understand. ROAD RAGE IS THE NUMBER ONE KILLER they kill both or one or injuries for most, so back off give space if you are late well I will be reading your name in the paper tomorrow. I have been in a wreck by a man who had road rage in a parking lot and my INC got there money and he got a ticket for no inc that is the one I know about. He was happy giggling at the scene but I am giggling all the way to the bank!!! So any way the tip of the day is if your late slow down your job will be there. I understand some times you have to get some where fast but use your brain. if you child/lover/parents is sick and going to wake at 2:30 am in a coma state due to food poison then maybe but then you have to look out for DWI'S the other NUMBER ONE KILLER which they are put in jail for a month and then back on the streets. DWI most of the time walks away with out injuries, but the other drive or person may not walk away at all, or the family has to tell the person's child mom/dad will not be with us any more due to a wreck on **/**/**** the child grows up and they look up the wreck and there is john doe who hit my mom/dad on **/**/****. John Doe die on **/**/**** 6 months after hitting child A mom/dad and killed 16 people in a wreck on I85 headed north in the south bound line. It is not only North Carolina that has these problems but this state has the weakest laws on these things. Sam
