For those here that say they have never seen any "southern hospitality" in the years since moving here need to take a long look in the mirror.

Perhaps it is very true that you have never received any, as southern hospitality is not the normal response to outsider arrogance or a condescending attitude. You reap what you sow.

Where in J-actionville did you go to. I have been there many times and all though traffic is horrible I would not say it was that bad although crime is growing. Greenville is another that has bad traffic and growing crime.
My step-daughter lives in Fayetteville and I agree its the pits.

I asked my wife as she is from Jackoffville, she said it must've been Court St.

Hillsborough is a town with a split personality. On the south side, there are tons of fast food restaurants & it's far from attractive. If the only part of Hillsborough you see is the area near the highway exits, you won't be impressed with the town. However, if you drive north just a mile or 2, you'll find a sweet, quaint little downtown area with great, historic buildings & museums, as well as lovely restaurants (like the patisserie run by an honest-to-goodness French pastry chef). There are some beautiful, older homes in that area & some gorgeous newer neighborhoods, too.

We live in an absolutely beautiful community and have been welcomed with gifts and hugs--yes, HUGS. My husband also works in East Durham (gasp!!) and that is supposed to be the "bad area"! Since you are in N. Durham then you need to slide over to Hillsborough if you like history. Cornwallis found it so you shouldn't have any problem finding it.
