Are there any areas in NC that have distinct seasons besides warm and warmer?

All of North Carolina has at least two seasons. Cold and hot.

The mountains have a longer Spring and Fall season. There is usually at least a 10 degree spread in the temperatures in the state. Coldest, Boone and Blowing Rock and hottest, Wilmington.
