Wouldn't that be an interesting Meet-Up. We'd have alot of northerners on this forum right that should know how to skate and have grown up doing so. I'm game.
I used to work as "Ice Patrol" at the Cary Ice House when I was in high school. Played a little pickup hockey as well. I wish hockey was more prevalent here when I was growing up as I would of played for sure! I recently bought some new skates so I can take the kids on the ice.
My DD 13 is into figure skating. We skate mainly at the Cary Ice House but also sometimes in Garner. I practically live up there with her anyway, so if anyone wants to skate one evening, let us know!
Indeed, very helpful. We went ice skating today to celebrate the new year. As I sit here with an ice pack on my knee, I'm reminded why I don't like rental skates.
Where are some good places in the area to pick up a reasonably priced pair of hockey skates?

We were in Play it Again Sports in Crossroads last week, and they had a lot of hockey skates.
I skate, but most of the figure skater meet-ups are arranged through the FSU board. Never occurred to me to look here for something.
