I used that Jay Tomlin site AND this practice test and aced it the first time around. You really do have to study as it seems that alot of the questions have little to do with actual driving and more to do with fines and regulations.

Quia - Driving Quiz - North Carolina

Good luck!

Allow plenty of time at the DMV too.

People have waited in excess of 2hrs.

Last time I went to the "Express Location" I was there for 1hr and 50 min on Central Ave. I thought it was suppose to be Express.

My license expires this September and I dread going to the DMV!

Angry Move from 1 State to Another.

Don't matter what State you come from you have to retest and don't matter how long you had your license. N.C. is a weird state. It don't except anything from any state.

Its not weird in having drivers to proficient in rules of road of North Carolina.
This way drivers know what is expected from them in this state and not the state they came from.
