I've always preferred Google Maps, but maps.live.com has a cool feature called Bird's Eye View, and it's now available for Charlotte, Raleigh, and parts of Chapel Hill and Durham. If you want to get an idea of what these cities look like, this is a great alternative to the standard straight-on aerial views. Sorry if this has been brought up already.

I think Google does have a birds eye view feature, but as far as I know it was not available in Raleigh the last time I checked. I'll give this link a check to see what it looks like. Thanks...
