I posted an earlier threat asking about New Bern but the answers persuaded to look elsewhere in the area, so now I am asking about these three places.
Three of us, all around the age of 20, are looking to move to towns around Havelock (to be near loved ones).
I'm just asking for general reviews on these 3 places.
For example: Things to do, expenses, weather, etc. Anything else is greatly appreciated. Just tell me how you like the areas
I find this site a great place to find answers!

To me the most desirable is Beaufort because it is on the water. However, it is probably going to be the most expensive and you are only likely to find seasonal jobs. If you can live on jobs as waitresses, more power to you.

For the most year-round job opportunities, I think you should look at Greenville. There will also be more student-oriented activities like football games and live music.

I would suggest Washington only to retirees with money.

The weather is going to be similar in all three, except that Beaufort will have sea-breezes close to the water. All three are going to be hot and humid in the summer.

Washington will have teh same "issues" for you that New Bern did. Neither are NYC or LA, which is what most 20 something posters, and critics, want to compare the nightlife to. There are tons to do in both, but not focused around drinking in bars or clubs. I would expect Beaufort is about the same, but add a couple of 100s to any cost multiplier. Greenville is a college town and will have college things to do. Morehead City to a large degree will have an active "scene" in the summer, with all the tourist stuff, but not so much in winter.

My advice is to not compare these towns to "perfect" but to compare them to nothing.

Agreed. The OP is coming from Rhode Island, where she has the big city resources of Providence, New Haven, Boston, New York and the casinos in New London close by. If they were bored in Rhode Island, it is going to be even harder to get excited about the "things to do" resources in Eastern North Carolina.

I wish them well, but I am not sure that moving to ENC following significant others is the best course. I would wish them to complete a college education first and secure some solid job skills. They will be competing for jobs with many other young military wives who are often very well educated.

Of those locations Greenville is your best bet. It's the principle city in Eastern NC outside of Wilmington and would offer the most enjoyment to someone in their early 20s. Washington is smaller and would likely be even more boring than New Bern. I would only recommend Beaufort over Greenville if you can afford it and find employment. It's more expensive since it's on the ocean.

But as said above, if you were bored in Rhode Island then you'll probably be bored in all of these cities. Greenville isn't too far from Raleigh though and that's a pretty sizable city.

I am not looking for just "bars". Sure bars are fun but that's not how we're trying to have fun. We're not a group of "girls" looking to get trashed every night. Beaches and galleries and parks are how we have fun.
Honestly, I don't want perfect.
Thanks for the advice, I'll look more into Greenville.

I do not go to Providence, Boston, and New London to all these casinos as you are stating. The only place IN RI you listed is Providence, which is very trashy and not "glamorous".
Second of all, I never said we were "following significant others". We aren't wasting our lives following men.
We plan on going to college once we move. My entire family is leaving RI, there is nothing here for me. I don't think it's wrong to want and move out of my home state. All I asked for was advice. Thanks.

Sounds kind of like Greenville!

A quick "review" of the towns you've mentioned is basically this;

Washington and Beaufort are charming retirement/touristy towns. Not really catered towards a young demographic but nice towns for middle aged empty nesters/ retirees

Greenville is a college town for ECU which is largely considered more of a "party school" than an esteemed institution of higher learning. It's going to have far more people in your demographic; but if you are looking for a "classy or glamorous" city; Greenville isn't it.

I said glamorous in quotations because it seemed like that's what everyone assumes I'm looking for, due to my age alone, when that's not the case. It really doesn't take much to please us, small touristy towns are fine. It's not that we think RI is boring, we just have other reasons for leaving, really. That and the freezing temperatures in the winter. I was just asking what people thought of Beaufort, Greenville, & Washington, so I had better knowledge of the areas. I appreciate your opinion and thank you for giving me useful information.

Maybe people just wanted to help you have realistic expectations. Out of those three, I would love Beaufort the most. But Greenville will have lots of people your age. You can go to the university when you have lived here for a year to get in-state tuition.
