I am from CA also. Spent my whole life there. The cost of water, which is piped into CA, is outrageous! But with no rain you must water almost daily to keep anything growing. People there are constantly praying for just a little rain. When it finally does rain things smell and look clean. Since that happens so seldom the area often looks and smells dirty. Yes, I'll take the passing rain storms here and enjoy them!!
