I never got a sticker...and now it's been registered in NC for almost a year without an inspection sticker. Can I get it inspected here, and not get fined-I haven't received any letters that I know of. I would expect the DMV would send a letter.
Since it's never been inspected, I'm thinking I can go ahead and do it and be fine...but someone told me you only have 10 days once you register it.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Just go get it inspected. If they slap you with penalties, oh well. Don't wait for DMV to get in touch w/ you - I think the penalty is maybe $250 or maybe more. Just go get it inspected - the longer you wait, the bigger potential for problems. A highway patrolman can pull you over and give you a ticket for an elapsed inspection sticker at any moment. Do it and if you end up w/ penalties you just will. It has to be taken care of regardless!!!!
