Hello

My family would like to move to North Carolina. We have visited both Raleigh and Charlotte and really enjoy both. We both work from home and can do so anywhere.

To answer the usual questions:

-Where you are working - from home

-How much you are willing to spend on housing
$500,000-$650,000

-How long of a commute you're willing to tolerate - this won't apply as long as we are able to keep our jobs working from home.

-If you have kids: Private school or public school? - public school. We have a 5 year old and 3 year old and are expecting our third in October. We would like great public schools.

-What type of neighborhood environment you are looking for: small town feeling? small city excitement? suburbia delight? - we like the relaxed suburban feel bc we have the young kiddos. but at night, we would def like to be able to go out in the "city".

-Community amenities important to you - pool, outdoor activities.

We are active people and like to go bike riding, hiking etc.

Also, we are a jewish family and while not overly religious, we would like to still go to temple, and be around some jewish life. I understand this would not be like NYC or a very "jewish" place, but would like to live around some other jewish people.

Thank you all for your help. I appreciate it.

Northwest Raleigh. The Raleigh-Cary JCC is here: Jewish Community Center | The Jewish Federation of Raleigh-Cary

Many other questions answered here: https://bethmeyer.org/content/raleigh-jewish-community There are reference to real estate agents who are Jewish.

I know nothing about Charlotte, but this might help: Jewish Communities/Teachers

In the Charlotte area there are temples in south Charlotte & Gastonia. I'm not sure about any other synagogues outside of Charlotte.
