Triangle needs more Soul Food (Durham, Chapel Hill: chapel, restaurants, safe) - North Carolina (NC) - City-Data Forum

What's going on folks, it's Friday, I'm at work hungry as heck, and have a hankering for soul food. Can you guys please list some places in the triangle I can get some good ole soul food. This place needs more hole in the wall joints, where neither the inside or the outside looks far from fancy, but the food is absolutely great, places where you go in, and all the workers have age on them, and you can look at their hands and tell they know what they are doing. It doesn't matter where in the triangle, I just need more spots to get my fix.

Mama Dips in Chapel Hill is the best known.

I'm afraid that the increasing "urbanization" of the area is nudging out "home-grown" restaurants and cuisines in the Triangle; might have to travel a little outside of town to say Johnston county or Wilson.

Why did this get moved out of the Triangle forum? The point of the OP's post was that the Triangle needs more soul food. Safe to assume he was looking to stay in the triangle.
