Relocating to Granite Falls
My wife and I bought land in G.F. and are relocating from Maine in about another year or so.
We did our homework and feel we have made an informed decision.
I am from the south originally. I love the southern charm,people generally seem more friendly and gracious. We are not looking to change things but looking for a change.
I like the idea of being close to the mountains and having snow not far away but at the same time the much shorter cold season appeals to us.
There are many other reasons for us wanting to relocate,to many to list.
Our only uncertainty is jobs. I am a master plumber in Maine and intend to get my license in N.C. before we move. It is my intention to try to go into business for myself specializing in service and repair.
Can anyone offer any insight as to what the market is like and how a Yankee doing a service business will be received by the locals?
