Thanks for all the recommendations. That is kind what I'm looking for. City /Town recommendation .I know there are a lot of cities around but honestly you can't look and check all cities if someone just mention an area.
Even when I miss maybe the place to life.
Yes I have a salesman job already. My customers around all 3 big city's.
Also I have to travel once a while to SC to support my representative down there.

Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Oak Ridge, Summerfield, Clemmons, Lewisville.
If he has to occasionally go to SC in addition to Charlotte, would Jamestown be a good place for him to look?
Yes, although some other places have better schools, especially high school (can't remember age of children...). The west side of Winston-Salem (and Clemmons and Lewisville) are also very conducive to getting to Charlotte and SC.

Thanks. I think that the kids are 2 & 4.
Just an aside. . . I think that the Triad & Charlotte areas are starting to blend. A car dealer in Kernersville is advertising, heavily, on TV in Charlotte, obviously aimed at people in Statesville & Hickory. Just the same, if it works for him, more will follow.
What would you think of Hickory for the OP? It's not as central but there are quite a few foreign nationals in the area &, given the traffic on I 77 between Mooresville & Charlotte, 321 from Hickory to I 85 in Gastonia is a breeze to drive. Plus I 40 goes right through Hickory.
Which are the three big cities you will go to? Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro? If so the Triad does seem like a good choice, centrally located. If you're going to have to go to Wilmington or Fayetteville, the Triangle/Raleigh area might be a better location.

I don't know a lot about Hickory, but I don't think the schools are as good as some other places. Its also pretty far west of being central to the states 3 major metro's.
Wow
Thanks all of you.
That is exactly what I'm looking for.
Lots of city recommendation.
I don't care if we have German friends around, we are in US. So I want to be around with US people. Would be nice to meet some Germans but that is not what my priority is.
My wife and the kids needs a good community around.
Fairs - playgrounds- mommy clubs- all kind of kids activity (even when I have to pay for it) ( hope not to much )
That is my first priority.
Yes it would be GREAT to be central located. After I heard all the good informations . Now I have a few city's to figure out which one is the best fit. If one of you have more city recommendation regards family activities ---- please let me (all of us ) know.
Thanks
