Default How can I ask about Social Security benefits in NC?

After coming back from the trip, my parents are interested in NC also. They have a few questions about Social Security benefits for my grandmother. My grandmother is 87 years old handicapped bed ridden and my mom takes care of her everyday. My grandma receives social security benefits of $700/month and my mother receives $1500/monthly as a caretaker. I know its Federal benefits but would she still receive it if she moves out there. Anybody can help me on this issue please do. Thanks

I personally see no reason why her benefits would change regardless of where she lives. Contact the Social Security Administration - they're very helpful on the phone, to double check.

I would think that all you would have to do is contact the Social Security Adminstration Office in the town or in the case of a rural area, the town nearest where you're moving to. I don't see this being an issue that you need to be concerned about. It is simply a change of address.
