Not true in the slightest. Raleigh/Triangle has nothing to worry or talk about when it comes to Charlotte. My friends barely mention it, even when they come back from a weekend there. Reaching at its best lol.
It really isn't my fault City Data is the only place that has ever heard of the Triangle. No need to be bitter at the bigger, better, more nationally and internationally known city.
That's really silly. The Triangle attracts a huge number of folks from all over the country and the world to relocate here just like Charlotte does. The top universities bring in a lot of folks as does RTP and many other high tech firms. However, I'm sure if you asked the average Parisian or Londoner both Charlotte and Raleigh would be pretty far down on their list of "world cities". It will be awhile before either of them has the same name recognition as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, or even Orlando.
This has nothing to do with Raleigh v. Charlotte. It is entirely about socially conservative republicans in the general assembly attempting to force their version of "christian" sharia law on the citizens of this state.
So it's "Sharia Law" for someone to not want their daughter and wife to not have to be forced to use bathrooms with men (public locker rooms and shower areas will come)? This has nothing to do with religion Rep./Dem. or discrimination and everything to do with others shoving their self-centered dogma down others throats through bullying. The respect is work both ways, right? But your religaphobia comes out load and clear and is rather amusing that that's what you have to fall back on, lol.
It's basic GOP politics and demonstrates what happens when they totally dominate the politics of a particular region or state. Doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Raleigh is the capital. I liken it to people using "those idiots in Raleigh", the same way that people say "those idiots in DC". Just a way to describe the politicians. Raleigh is just as liberal, if not more liberal than Charlotte. They're basically on the same page when it comes to this law as cities.

As far as bathrooms go, this law changes nothing. Folks will continue to use the bathrooms that correspond to their identified gender, which wasn't an issue before NC HB2 and still won't be. Cops aren't going to be posted at bathroom doors checking birth certificates and genitalia: NC police don't know how to enforce HB2 - Business Insider

The irony of you saying this is that if any transfolk followed the law, as HB2 states... transmen would now be sharing the women's room with your wives/daughters... and transwomen would be at the mercy of the men they'd have to share restrooms with--some of which might beat them to a pulp for their gender identity.
This issue has come up before with prison inmates. In some states, transgendered individuals are sent to the prison that corresponds to their birth sex. You can probably imagine how that turns out for transwomen... being the only woman in a male prison. Like throwing meat in a piranha tank.
Also, very ironic that you question other people's tolerance to religion. NC is making all of us live under laws for one particular religion. Guess you don't really care all that much, so long as your religion is the one that's being legislated.

Actually, its patently obvious this has everything to do religion and politically "conservative" beliefs. Denying that is like denying the sky is blue.
And I totally agree its all about one group shoving its dogma down other throats through bullying. Its just working in the opposite direction from what you seem to believe.
Anyway, this bill has very little to do with bathroom usage anyway. Thats simply a smokescreen the republican ayatollahs put out their to distract from the real issues. This unconstitutional nonsense will soon be thrown out by the courts.

Trust me, I'm not bitter love. Also that last sentence is hilarious. Charlotte is (barely) bigger, that's about it lol.
Charlotte proper, Charlotte MSA, and Charlotte CSA are all a decent size larger than each of the same with Raleigh.
You act as if Charlotte is the size of Atlanta lol. Like I said it's barely bigger. With the growth the Triangle is recceiving, there's nothing to hate.
