Nope.

They will burn the house down for H.B.2, and then blame the federal government, or more specifically, Obama. And their constituents will agree. That's the magic of gerrymandered districts.

Just to be fair...I believe the democratic legislature spent all of the rainy day funds.

Maybe the Republican run government will decide to secede from the union as SC did.

"RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A North Carolina law limiting protections to LGBT people violates federal civil rights protections and can't be enforced, the U.S. Justice Department said Wednesday, putting the state on notice that it is in danger of being sued and losing hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding."

The kind of moronic liberalism demonstrated in this thread is exactly responsible for the rise of Donald Trump. Maybe some of the armchair warriors on both sides need to back off a little.

So "moronic conservatism" has no part in the ascent of Donald Trump? Even "the Donald" spoke out against HB2!

The corresponding idea would be that moronic conservatism has given rise to Bernie Sanders. By the way, hope you noticed the admonition to both sides, oh mighty armchair warrior.

Yes, we should secede like SC did over slavery. That's something to be proud of

Edit: I'm lol-ing that because the NC GOP overturned Charlotte's ordinance, now all transgender people across the entire nation will justly be able to use the restroom of their identified gender as Donald Trump agrees with. Its really funny and ironic.

Now NC can be sort of like Lake Wobegon, where the men are men, and so are half the women . . . (actually, reminds me of Chapel Hill )

Agree. If they cared about the opinion or funding of the Federal Government, they never would have passed this bill in the first place. Law 101...state law can only offer its citizens more rights than federal law, not less.
