Sorry, but not really Trump. How did he get into the picture? Trump has nothing to do with this. More generally, one thing you might keep in mind is the idea that not everything you dislike has something to do with Trump, or more broadly with conservatives or Republicans.
But I do consistently advocate writing-in "none of the above" in the coming presidential election rather than voting for either of the two career, white-collar criminals.
Also, some thought might be given to the roles of organizations like the NBA, NFL, and NCAA in today's American culture. It's not a pretty picture, although I suppose that even goons and thugs have advocates, especially if said goons and thugs bring money to town.

Probably not worth pointing out that the arrest rate for this league of "goons and thugs" who "mule" drugs around in basketballs is less than that of the general population.
My point in bringing trump into the discussion was to illustrate what, in my opinion, is the openly racist and hostile dialogue that the "rise of Trump" has ushered in. From bus-berating in Manchester to the open forums of NC...
I do agree about one thing. It's sad that the NBA and PayPal have to legislate morality in NC. Ideally, the people and elected officials could set a correct course without the need for the business community's guidance.

What on earth is the "rise of Trump?" How is it any different than the rise of any other demagogue, right or left? How is it any different from the rise of Bernie the Socialist, except that an individual might agree with the ideas of one but not the other? They're two sides of the same coin.
You miss the fundamental issue regarding the NBA, NFL, and NCAA. It's not crime. Rather, it's the dumbing-down of American culture. Have you tried to teach a D-1 college "student athlete" in a university classroom? Yes, there are individual exceptions, but these people (in revenue sports) generally are not able to do legitimate college-level work (see, for example, the recent scandal at UNC-CH). And yet they and their groupies lead the school around by the nose. They have reduced the level of a college degree to a farce, as we have just seen at Carolina. Their champion is the multi-billion dollar NCAA/athletic-department complex. The "graduates" go on to the NBA/NFL, convinced that they are God's special gift to America, entitled to tens of millions of dollars for playing a kid's game.
Regarding the NBA: do you remember Arthur Ashe? He went to his grave trying to get kids unglued from professional sports. His message was that a ghetto kid's chances of getting into the NBA were nil, and, consequently, that the kid needed to learn something in school besides basketball. In this regard, the NBA sends the wrong message. Their message is the trash-talking glamor, riches, and prestige (at least among a certain kind of audience) that derive from professional basketball, not from learning science, math, accounting, engineering, etc. We don't need these goons in NC, and I hope they take their garbage elsewhere. Nor do we need a coliseum full of tanked-up rednecks watching their game in Charlotte (or wherever).
Regarding racism -- you can think whatever you want. Why would anyone else value your opinion in this matter? I certainly don't. It seems that calling someone whom you disagree with "a racist" has become standard procedure. As a result, the use of the term "racism" has come to have all the gravitas of one six-year-old girl telling another that she has cooties.
You don't care so much you penned a multi-paragraph completely unrelated screed about how prepared D1 athletes are for college, and how silly the "NBA dream" is. Those are separate and unrelated issues from your post which stated roughly, "moving the thugs and criminals from Charlotte to Orlando would improve both cities".
And it was a vile comment. Much more intentional than falling victim to an untenable dream or being ushered through school because you have a 40" vertical. Made by, what I must assume based on your comment about A. Ashe, a fully grown adult. Tsk, tsk.
Discussion has drifted more like floated like a tsunami from HB2 and on the edge of flaming.
