Hi all!

My family has decided to make a big choice and move from Washington State over to Youngsville area for a job offer with my husbands company. We don't know much about the area, but are looking for any sort of feedback on good housing communities in and around the area. I have 2 toddler boys and 2 active dogs. We are looking for a great family feel community and close to shopping of some kind. Our price range is around 300-325k with at least 1/4 acre.

Any information would be so very helpful for this is a HUGE move for our family and while its exciting its also important for me to know as much as I can before we decide for certain.

Thank you to all in advance for sharing your knowledge of the area!

I will ask the moderators to move your question to the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill sub-forum. Youngsville itself will give you the housing you want. However, if you are looking at when your children attend school, you might look at the Wake County part of Wake Forest for better schools. You might look especially at Heritage Wake Forest, which has great amenities and the kind of community feel that I think you are seeking.

I was about to suggest Heritage as well. Highly rated schools, great community with amenities and more to do nearby yet close enough to where he'll be working.
