Even if HB2 is perfectly legal, it will not change the policies of the ACC, the NBA, the NFL, NHL, associations, businesses, conventions, entertainers, the movie industry, and etc. I don't think NASCAR cares. NC is still the loser economically and is looked on as a regressive state by many.
So why is the governor trying to win a losing argument for the people and businesses of the state?
Because many of us don't want a free pass for men to be in women's lockers, restrooms and showers. Just check out what's happening in Target's changing rooms and bathrooms. They have a serious problem on their hands and that's without a government mandate barring them from stopping it.
Yep, you must vote to prevent the resurgence of such primitive prejudice, ignorance, and overall anti-scientific backwaterness.
It's the same dissociative disorder as body integrity identity disorder, species dysphoria and age dysphoria. I don't see the NCAA lining up to endorse those lifestyles. For some reason, lumping it in with being gay suddenly made it "OK." Yet it still often results in genital mutilation and suicide.
I thought this thread was about the ncaa? Stop throwing
up strawmen and derailing the discussion.
Seems more than relevant to talk about the NCAA's stated reason for pulling out. Which, according to them, is to avoid supporting discrimination against transgender people. Is refusing to endulge their dissociative fantasies discrimination? Not unless you also plan to treat people with body integrity disorder as if they're true amputees and allow people with age dysphoria to enroll in kindergarten. And don't forget equal access to public litter boxes for those with species dysphoria.

You do this everytime and are told to stay on topic.

Obviously, the foundation of the NCAA's argument over whether not recognizing imagined identities is discrimination or not is relevant to a thread about the NCAA calling North Carolina discriminatory.

Last time I proved you wrong with info from with the WHO, the APA, and judge Scalia saying transgender was covered under Title 9. So again quit trying to go offtopic, and understand you have been proven wrong.
As a business the NCAA. NFL, ACC, and any other organization do what it feels best for itself. We have lost so much money and will continue to lose money and high profile events in the state because of HB2. That is the fact, and now places like Nashville will take it and enjoy the growth and money.
People seem to think NC can be some isolationist state and not worry about these things. We will find out how wrong they are if we keep on this path.

What you and the supporters of HB2 want has nothing to do with the policies of the NCAA, ACC, NBA, NFL, organizations, businesses, etc. So if you get what you want, NC is still the big loser economically and gives all the above a good reason not to shop in NC.
