In 2016, there is a steep social price to pay for being Grand Wizard of Primitive Bigotry

In a discussion with conservative leaders last week, North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory said the reaction to House Bill 2 has gotten personal, leaving his wife “shunned” at social events and making him the target of verbal assaults and even death threats.

McCrory told the group that he’s also experienced political blow-back that he said was orchestrated by the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBT advocacy group.

Cannot imagine why anyone would shun a bigot.

Its all about him and his wife........not the shunning of the entire state and its residents by the rest of the world.

maybe y'all should read the article that's linked. it's pretty even-handed - all things considered.

bigot: a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

yet they quote him:

Quote:
...shunned for a political disagreement, a values disagreement.”

▪ “I listen to the other side … And I say, ‘I respectfully disagree with you’,” he said. “They do not say that to me, I wave to them with five fingers. They wave back with one. And it’s personal. It’s death threats. Last week, I was verbally assaulted by a 21-year-old drunk student.
under the definition of intolerant, who falls within?

Wealthy white, Christian, middle-aged former business executives are so ostracized and oppressed these days. What happened to the good old times where you could stand on the necks of the underclass without getting the stinkeye?
Let's all hold a bake sale and make some foie gras cupcakes for this poor street urchin...

You'd think McCrory would've learned from the "Gang of Five" mess in Mecklenburg county. When conservatives attack the LGBT community, the reaction from the business/entertainment community is not positive.
